The iPhone is my primary voice device. Some people may ask why an iPhone. There are a few reasons as to why, and I will go into them within this page. However, it is not a perfect solution. For one, price. The iPhone Pro starts at $1,000 and goes up from there. Next, is a lack of customization. And the last is the expensive extended support options. These support options only adds to the $1,000 price tag. Since I take this phone with me everywhere I go, I have the extended support option which of course made the price tag harder to swallow.
The first reason is the integration with a Mac OS PC. On a Mac, I have the Messages app which is basically the same as the one on the iPhone. As long as my iPhone is in Bluetooth range, I could use the Messages app on my PC, and it sends through my phone. This will applies to SMS messages.
The second is longevity. I intend on keeping my phone for at least 5 years unless there was a significant reason as to why I am upgrading. I have to justify to myself the significant price tag that makes it almost a necessity on keeping the phone for a long time. I don’t think Google supports their Pixel phones for more than a few years. The idea is to keep the phone as long as possible.
